Today is our last day downtown in the CBD. This morning we walked around the tiny Chinatown, went to the Ian Potter National Victoria Gallery and saw an aboriginal art exhibit and went to the Melbourne Aquarium. The aquarium was about as big as the Long Beach Aquarium. It had cool shark and penguin exhibits.
Tonight we are taking a tour bus to Phillip Island where we will see the Australian Little Penguins in their natural habitat. They are the world’s smallest penguins. We arrive around sunset when they leave the ocean and go to sleep in their nests. We can’t take any pictures, which is lame, but I’m sure they offer postcards and other junk at the gift shop.
