Apple Death

5 Mar

Rob’s computer is having some serious issues. Apparently it was something Rob did to try to upgrade the protection settings. It makes no sense to me. It wants wifi to repair itself and since we only have a LAN line at home, we walked to campus. I brought my iphone for some much needed wifi time too. It hasn’t connected to the internet since the US. Rob just reported to me that it’s going to take 107 hours to upload/repair/work its magic. I guess we’re going to be here for awhile.

*Update: La Trobe Library has these super fancy laptop charging lockers. They are free and have little outlets inside. Rob was able to leave his laptop there. Hopefully when he checks it tomorrow morning it will have fixed itself or at least made a dent in the download time. Otherwise, he has an appointment at the Apple Store, which is a mere 3 bus transfers away…

A secure charging locker? That’s pretty cool!

It does take patience to cope with a computer. Guess you are refering to a laptop. Gram
