On to the Opera

5 Apr

We just bought tickets to see Aida at the Sydney Opera House in July. After much debate, I won with my argument of “seriously, this is probably the only time we’re going to the Sydney Opera House. We have to see an opera and we can’t sit in the side cheap seats with obstructed views, what’s the point?”

Rob actually suggested we see a performance of the Sydney Philharmonic perform the soundtrack to the Lord of the Rings while the movie plays in the back ground*. Hahaha, you’re so funny Rob. Nice try.

*Turns out Rob has already seen a classical performance of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack with movie clips playing the in background. Nerd. 🙂

How fun! Are you going to get dressed up? How far away is Sydney?

We didn’t bring anything too nice, but we’ll try. It’s about an hour flight. Like SF to LAX.

Perfect! We are really looking forward to it. You can’t go wrong with Italian Opera, right?
