Recouperation Day

21 Apr

Last night, after Rob’s long and frustrating day of student teaching, we went downtown and met our friends for dinner and drinks. By the time we got home we were both exhausted, especially Rob. Today was spent recovering our energy. First we had a blueberry pancake breakfast.

The extra bowl was for the ones we couldn't finish. I tossed a couple in there.

After our late breakfast we made it to the super market and restocked on food for the week. We’ve spent the rest of the day playing games. In an extremely rare turn of events, Rob beat me at most of the games. I guess the odds are that he would eventually win some. 🙂 We finished by playing Scrabble where he obliterated me with a 101 word. I’m sure I’ll never hear the end of it. Which is as it should be. We encourage unending bragging and bringing up old wins in this household.

The winning word(s) were journal, agas and li. If anyone cares to know, agas is plural for aga, a Turkish military leader. Li is a Chinese unit of distance.

It was nice of you to let Rob win. One has to do this occasionally.
