Williamstown

7 Jun

We headed down to Williamstown today, one of the last touristy things we hadn’t seen. It is a little sleepy village where the Yarra River meets Phillip Bay. Based on the number of ice cream shops, it must be a bustling town during the summer. When we were there it was pretty quiet. We walked from the train station into the downtown and had a picnic lunch in a park overlooking the harbor. Then we walked around the town a little bit and headed back to the train. It wasn’t the most exciting place we’ve been, but it has a certain charm.

Rob: Are you feeding the “birds?” We feed the birds everyday here!
It’s fun to watch the finches who on occasions fight over the sunflower seeds!

No, they were just trying to steal our picnic lunch, but failed.
