Queenstown, Lake Tekapo and Christchurch

3 Jul

Yesterday we walked around Queenstown in the morning and before we headed out of town we had lunch at Fergburger. It was one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever had and it was the size of my head. Yes, I ate it all, stop judging. After disgustingly full bellies we drove to Lake Tekapo. Here there is a little stone church on a knoll that, according to them, is the most photographed church in the world. I find that hard to believe, wouldn’t the Vatican have more visitors? Anyway, it is very cute and picturesque. Today we drove to Christchurch. We returned the rental car and right now we’re waiting in the airport for our hostel shuttle pickup. We spend tonight in Christchurch and tomorrow we head back to Melbourne. I’m curious to see what downtown Christchurch is like after their devastating earthquakes.
