For My Job Interview at JPL

Our heater/AC remote is the most complicated electronic device I’ve ever attempted to use. We don’t turn it on very often, but today, since it’s currently 46 outside and pretty cold inside, I turned it on for a few minutes. But seriously, I just hit a bunch of buttons until it made some noises and luckily it started producing heat. We usually just hit a bunch of things and hope for the best. I think the problem is that there is a 10-15 second delay from your command to a reaction of the heater. Also sometimes every single symbol lights up and blinks. At that point we usually just turn the main power switch off from the wall.

Looks easy, I swear, it’s not.
