The Slow Defrost

22 Aug

Today was Rob’s last day of university classes for 7 weeks. Starting on Monday he has his final 4 weeks of student teaching. Then 3 weeks of break and 4 more weeks of university and he’s done! If you’re counting, that is a total of 10 weeks of break during his school year. How come when I was in college, we didn’t have it so easy?

It was 65 degrees today, which felt absolutely tropical. Rob said a lot of people at La Trobe were wearing shorts and flip flops. I wasn’t that brave, but I did manage to take my sweatshirt off while we were on a walk. It was so pleasant. It will be back to the low 50s for the remainder of the month. We’re looking forward to the end of winter and the days to warm up.
