Half Marathon

14 Oct

A few of our friends ran in the Melbourne half marathon today. We decided to do our own version, along the Yarra River. It is almost exactly the same length, although we take our time and don’t feel so horrible when we’re done. Today was warm and pleasant so at the last bit of our walk we stopped and shared an ice cream sundae. We went to an “American” style diner. The guy behind Rob was eating a hot dog with a knife and fork. I almost stood up and slapped the fork out of his hand and said “no!” But I restrained myself. I thought we should get a 10% discount for being actual Americans in there. Don’t you agree?

I seem to have recovered from my need to nap. Maybe it was jetlag/travel fatigue.
